Windhoist are happy to announce yet another finished project - Clocaenog Forest Wind Farm in north Wales.

Windhoist were employed in April 2019 to erect each of the 27 (Vestas V105) wind turbines involved in the project. In a matter of a few months, we have successfully installed the final turbine using our personnel and cranes.

The location, not far from Denbigh, was chosen by the Welsh Assembly Government. Clocaenog Forest is a stunning and practical location for an onshore wind farm, and a working forest which is managed by Natural Resources Wales.

The 27 turbines are expected to produce as much as 96 megawatts of power. This is enough clean and renewable energy to fuel as many as 63,800 average UK households each and every year.

The project is a significant step forward in Britain’s commitments to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. Wind farms like this are clean and economically viable alternatives to traditional generation facilities that produce dangerous greenhouse gases from things like coal and oil.

We want to thank our site manager Noel Daly and his team - all 27 3.6MW wind turbines have now been erected thanks to their hard work, experience, and professionalism.
