The Windhoist dream team Damien Sherry (Windhoist Senior Crane Operator) & Frank McAlonan (Windhoist Technical Manager) have won GOLD at Bauma 2019. Our expert crane operator Damien came in first place with the help of his highly skilled banksman Frank. They both took part on the Demag crane simulator challenge. The simulator challenge tests the best of the best.
Damien completed the crane simulator challenge in only 4 minutes 35 seconds – an impressive time that gave him a clear 50 second lead to take first place.
The competition was fierce on the day with hundreds of entries. The competitors travelled from all over the world but it was the Windhoist team who made it to the top of the leader board.
Windhoist and Demag cranes have a long standing business relationship spanning over 20 years. We currently have a large number of Demag cranes within the Windhoist fleet.
