Janice Pitman and Jack Neill from Windhoist turned up at Woodlands Primary in Irvine last week to surprise the pupils with a gift. Windhoist handed over copies of a fun packed book called “Sparky’s Big Idea”. The book aims to educate primary school children on crucial PSHE and citizenship topics. All the children were very interested in wind energy and how the wind rubines were built and how they operated. Head teacher Lesley Drever was very impressed by how involved the children were getting and the questions they were asking. One pupil asked what was the type of computer used inside the turbines? That impressed Jack, however Lesley was more impressed with her present, a Windhoist model truck, she was trying to stay professional but Janice could tell she was dying to open the box.
