Windhoist get “Wumag-Palfinger”
Windhoist are about to take delivery of a “Wumag-Palfinger” WT-1000 access platform, currently the largest in the world, capable of reaching a working height of 102.5m and a maximum out-reach exceeding 36m. These duties can be achieved with a 2.47m x 1.05m x 1.10m basket offering payload capabilities up to 600kg!
This machine, mounted on a 5-axle all terrain mobile crane carrier, offers excellent flexibility on all typical UK, upland Windfarm locations without the need for additional support vehicles.
With the focus now firmly set on the minimization of work-at-height risks the Wumag offers a safe, stable option to access mega-watt turbines in the course of blade inspection/repair and general O & M applications.
We hope to be in a position to demonstrate the machine, to an invited audience, at a Windfarm in Northern Ireland in the very near future and details will be posted on the web-site shortly.
