Windhoist now own and operate the largest access platform in the world, the WUMAG WT1000. As well as its record breaking working height, the unit has an impressive outreach of 36 metres in all directions.
Designed specifically for the wind energy industry, this machine is ideal for assembly and maintenance work on all types of wind turbines up to a hub height of 100M. Mounted on a TADANO FAUN ATF 110 G-5 AT crane chassis with unlimited traction and maneuverability, the WUMAG WT1000 is ideally suited to the challenging conditions found on a wind farm site.
The WT 1000 is designed as an articulated work platform with a 5-section lower boom, a 3-section upper boom, and a cage boom angle of 115°. It's heavy duty workman basket can carry nominal loads of up to 600kg and since it can be set up in four different stabilising configurations, the WT1000 can also be operated in tight spots.
The main use of the machine is for the inspection and maintenance of wind turbine blades and with a basket which can extend from 2.5m to 4m, an integrated power supply and rescue kit, it is certainly a more attractive proposition than a hanging basket.
This machine and it's operators are familiar with working throughout Europe and are available to do so at short notice.
