LTR11200 Arrives in Australia

Windhoist's new Liebherr LTR11200 crawler crane has arrived in Australia and has started work on the Waterloo wind farm near Clare, South Australia - around 100km north of Adelaide.

The project involves the installation of 37 Vestas V90-3MW turbines to a a hub height of 80m that the Danish company is installing and managing for Roaring 40s Renewable Energy, a partnership between China Light & Power and Hydro Tasmania.

As our photo shows the turbines are being erected on the edge of a rocky ridge with some fairly steep slopes, the narrow tracked LTR11200 is proving to be the ideal tool for the job.
